FEEDING DIRECTIONS:

Feed at a regular time each day. Horses should be fed approximately 8 lbs. of quality feed. Working horses should be fed one to two hours before work with 1/3 of the long roughage (hay).  The balance of roughage after work. Horses should consume a ration of long roughage (hay) equaling 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. per 100 lbs. of body weight daily. Broodmares should be fed twice daily.  Race Horses should be fed 3 times daily dividing the ration in equal portions.  Keep salt  and Heritage Horse Mineral available at all times with fresh water available. Keep stalls clean and fresh.  DO NOT OVER FEED OR WATER AS IT CAN CAUSE FOUNDER OR COLIC.
