Feeding Directions

Mix 25 lbs. (content of package) of the Type B (0.5%) medicated feed containing 4,540 g/ton fenbendazole with 100 lbs. of feed ingredients to manufacture Type C medicated feed containing 908 grams of fenbendazole per ton equivalent. Feed the resulting Type C medicated as the sole ration for (1) day at the rate of 0.5 pounds per 100 lbs. of body weight to provide 2.27 mg fenbendazole per pound body weight. This 25 lb. bag of Dewormer when mixed with feed ingredients will treat 25,000 lbs. of cattle body weight. Do not under dose. Ensure each animal receives a complete dose based on a current body weight. Under dosing may result in ineffective treatment, and encourage the development of parasite resistance. Feed this Safe-Guard Dewormer at the rate of 0.1 or 0.2 lbs. per 100 lbs. of body weight to provide 2.27 or 4.54 mg fenbendazole per lb. of body weight. For control of large strongles, small strongyles, and pinworms, the recommended dose is 15 mg fenbendazole per kg body weight (2.27 mg fenbendazole per lb.) in a ONE (1) DAY treatment. For the control of ascarids the recommended dose is 10 mg fenbendazole per kg body weight (4.54 mg fenbendazole per lb.) in a ONE (1) DAY treatment. All horses must be eating normally to ensure that each animal consumes an adequate amount of medicated feed. Mix 100 pounds of the Safe-Guard 0.5% Dewormer medicated feed containing 2.27 gms/lb. of fenbendazole with 1,900 pounds of feed ingredients to manufacture medicated feeds containing 227 grams of fenbendazole per ton (113.5 mg/lb.). The resulting 227 g/ton Type C medicated feed is to be fed as the sole ration for 3 to 12 consecutive days at the rate of 0.3 to 1.2 lbs. daily per 100 lbs. of body weight to provide a total dose of 4.08 mgs fenbendazole per lb. body weight. 1 lb. of the Safe-Guard 0.5% Dewormer medicated feed containing 2.27 gms/lb. of fenbendazole will deworm 556 lb. of pork. Feed the 227 g/ton fenbendazole medicated feed as the sole ration for THREE (3) DAYS at the rate of 1.0 lb. daily per 100 lbs of body weight to provide 1.14 mg/lb. of body weight per day. Feed at a rate to provide 1.36 mgs per lb. of body weight per day for (3) consecutive days. Feed the 227 g/ton fenbendazole medicated feed as the sole ration for THREE (3) DAYS at the rate of 1.2 lbs. daily per 100 pounds of body weight to provide A total dose of 4.08 mgs of fenbendazole per lb. of body weight over the 3 day period. Mix 400 pounds of Safe-Guard 0.5% Dewormer medicated feed containing 2.27 gms/lb. with 1,600 lbs. of feed ingredients to manufacture feeds containing 908 grams of fenbendazole per ton (454 mg/lb.). Feed the 908 g/ton fenbendazole medicated feed as the sole ration for THREE (3) DAYS at the rate of 1.0 pound daily per 100 pounds of body weight to provide a total dose of 13.62 mgs of fenbendazole per pound of body weight.
